Any idea what this big leaf (bigger than my hand) is? came up under a Loquat tree a few years ago. It got mowed down a couple of times but keep coming back, so I put it in a pot . It's now about 8' tall, no flowers so far just big ass leafs. Had to have came from bird poop!

I've seen fruitless mulberry's that look similar.

Heave not Sass got that growing in the yard.
Blasting; was a teenager in the mid-late sixties, VN vet from early 70's don't think it will smoke good!!!

I didn't zoom in on the photo originally. Now that I did I'm thinking it may well be a mulberry. Sassafras leaf edges tend to be smooth unlike mulberry which has jagged or toothy edges.

One quick test is to break off a twig and give it a chew. If it tastes like root beer it is sassafras. If not it is likely mulberry.
