You might just be the first one in the smoke today. Are you in on the big brisket cook thread?

Pringles, slim jims and hershey syrup.  You have teenage kids or is that what was in the 'Chopped' basket you opened up? =)

Hahaha. Not teenage but just under.

That would be a messed up chopped basket.

@robnybbq -  glad to see you well into the cook.  Great set-up and no doubt an eggceptional cook and banquet awaits.
FWIW- I would bet you are looking at a lunch feast on Sat unless that cow really wants to mess with you.  Regardless, enjoy!

Still going.  A little eventful throughout the night (a good reminder why I don't like overnight cooks).  Hot Harley any sleep.  Chased the temperature a little. From too hot to too cold.  Got it back up to 250-270 now and humming along.

The maverick probe went bad.  These are very delicate.  Need new probes but prefer a better unit.  Ended up buying a new maverick all together last time.  Getting expensive.

    this mornings view.

Hard to beat that view right there.  I'm sure the smell would top it, though.  Can't wait for the money shots.

Nothing like a thick layer of hardwood smoke blanketing the neighborhood at 6:00 AM.

It came out great.  No slicing pics as at the party there was a line of people drooling to get at it.  If I stopped to take a pic either they would have beat me down or called the paddy wagon as they don't understand true BBQ beauty.

The meat was very tender and was perfect bend over the finger.  Most of the meat was devoured and a little left for the party host for leftovers.

    Thanks for the compliments.
