I thought you had decided to move her on up to a large. Brand new is still brand new, but BGE hasn't included those feet for several years now. Is that thermometer a Tel-Tru?

Great addition.....I use my MBGE the most (mostly 'cause it is my only egg) Have not seen feet included for years. That gasket looks to be the old "dome protector" variety not the newer light grey high heat version - enjoy!

@Skiddymarker.....they did tell me that it was an older one, just based off the shelves. I need to contact Ron about the possibility of a Rutland gasket being used on my Reverse Flow, will be asking Ron for a gasket for Ernies Medium.  She is very excited to have one just for baking. Will be buying her a dedicated pizza stone next trip to town, she wants ro bake some cookies...

LOL - you know where I live and trust me I'll work with you on figuring the needs for your reverse flow as I have with other folks. That's one of the advantages I can offer since I buy the gasket on 157 foot reels.

@RRP....problem with my RF is the gasket sealing area is hot even all the way around. I used a Nomex gasket on both the door and the firebox to get it sealed. I will take some pictures of it sometime soon and email you.
I made a mistake trimming one piece of the firebox. One end was 3", the other was 3 1/4". It was a piece that got welded on the goofed cut...will make sense when you see the pictures...

In certain ways I have no problem with the Nomex gasket itself, but it's the crappy thin adhesive tape they use to adhere it that sucks. OTOH the NOMEX detoriates in far shorter order from high heat and UVL than the 2,200 degree Rutland. Plus when the Rutland is applied using the 700 degree Permatex Ultra Copper that means the BGE isn't even capable damaging the Rutland at that gasket level...but what the hell do I know? LOL

Good to know about the UVL. The gasket is exposed to the weather...and obviously the sun...
