Rehanging a gutter that got blown down in last nights wind storm of sustained winds of 45 MPH plus. Unfortunately, it was not the lower first level guttering at 20 ft, it was the gutters another 15 feet up, which a smarter person would have said, "scaffolding is the only way to do this safely." Which would be correct. But no. I chose to use an extension ladder standing on the final rung. I did not need to worry, because I had My Beautiful Wife, who is so much smarter than I, tell me exactly what I needed to do, and what I did wrong.
Oh look, my third bourbon, neat, is empty. Time for another.

@YukonRon - out here in the wilderness we lost power at around 6:30 PM. Went round and round with LG&E once they blew thru their restoration estimates (x3) and finally were rewarded at 6 AM today. I am cooking today that which I never got to while dealing with them.

My neighbor who lives behind me, to the north and west of my house, has a huge, and ancient Tulip poplar tree. If you know about a tulip poplar, in wind, they shed branches like a golden retriever does hair. As luck would have it the wind blows everything from that tree into my yard. My 48 inch diameter fire pit is piled 3 ft high with the debris. Not complaining, it is great fire starter, but man, nothing lands in his yard. Just watched two girls manhandle every Roma tomatoe in the display. They wanted just the right feel.

Just opened my box of peach chunks from Fruita. Extremely pleased. The first whiff was heavy with peach wood aroma. Perfect for my needs and can't wait to pork it up using these.

I had a chance to meet Joe, Q, and Sal after one of their Tenderloin stand up shows. Awesome bunch of folks. (Definitely recommend their tenderloin tour if it comes to a town near you).
