WTB - Large nest in Houston

20stone
20stone Posts: 1,961
It turns out that if you set a starter chimney on an old wooden table, that table can catch fire.  I did that to ours a year or two ago, and it added some char(m) to the weathered look of the table, but was otherwise intact.  Time, however, has taken its toll, and charm has devolved into decay.

Given that our LBGE is resident at a semi-OCD relative's house, "shabby chic" isn't going to work.

As such, I am looking for a large nest from one of you that had built/bought a table and have one hogging space in your garage.

PM me if you can help me out.

Check CL on the regular. They pop up from time to time. Also sign up for Berings email newsletter. They have 20% off sales every other month or so and egg accessories are included.

I've bought 4 large nests off Craigslist. Never paid more than $40 for them

I see one in Austin, and may grab it when I go through on business next week.  I am surprised that cali doesn't have 2 or 3 spares

I would be on my way at that price...
Mine look like crap in just a couple years with all the salt in the air.
I have replaced my XL and my Large nest already.
I can not believe the retail price they charge for the Nest.
    Thank you,

@xfire_ATX Where in Atlanta are you?  I could use an XL nest and my inlaws are at my brother in laws for the week. They could bring it back to Maryland for me. I want an XL nest to put my joe Jr in.

Dude, it would have been yours already if I had one. I bought my eggs in the pre- caliprince era when I thought I could (and tried to) build or fix anything. So I passed on a nest and built a rolling crate for the large.

Now I just buy everything because it means more drinking time!

Are you planning on attending the Athens eggfest by any chance? April 9th, and I'm sure @20stone will feed you well if you do.

That's a price that can't be beat.  I'll pick it up in Athens if you are going there.

    Thanks a ton.

Are you cooking in Athens?  I could grab it from you there, though it would deny me the opportunity to express my gratitude to @Proser in food/beer

Thanks, but I am going to grab the local one from @HoustonEgger.  That will save the Austin-Ft Worth-Austin-Athens-Houston logistics.

    I appreciate the offer.

He's a great dude. I bought a handler and some nest mates from him last year and we had a chance to chat a little. One of the good guys for sure.
