I must say, this might have been the tastiest beef I have ever had. Expensive as hell but worth it to hear "legendary" thrown around the table. Do yourself a favor and give it a try. Mine was salt and pepper and down low on high heat. Awesome!

As as far as temp, just hot. The CoRE weighed 1.7 #. I kept the lid up as I cooked as the cuts were thin.Joe - I'm a reformed gasser-holic aka 4Runner Columbia, SC Wonderful BGE Resource Site: http://www.nakedwhiz.com/ceramicfaq.htm and http://www.nibblemethis.com/ and http://playingwithfireandsmoke.blogspot.com/2006/02/recipes.html

awesome Cook! I don't cook a lot of steaks but ordered one of these myself since it was on sale. would you mind sharing about how long you cooked each side to arrive at that? I have read that these cook quicker than what you would buy at Kroger. Thank you sir!4Runner said:

After the PSWoo, the spider is the best accessory that CGS sells. Add a 13" CI grid (or the standard SS grid, or a cheap Weber grid) from the small egg and it's a searing fool. Tip it over, add a wok, and you're in another world for cooking.
Oh yes, and the protein looks great ... suppose there's none left. Great cook ... thanks for posting.

Saw this cut on sale at Snake River Farms and was wondering if it was any good. Ordering it now that I see good reviews.

Thanks for the comments. I'm sorry but I just did it by look and feel. No time. I just flipped and flipped to even out color. Let rest an sliced. The wife had to find a tiny sliver off the end as she likes slight pinky only. The boys and I tore into the rest. We had additional meat since this was only 1.7#. You can practice with a cheaper cut of meat to gain experience. We get the flank steaks that come 2 to a pack at SAMs for something Ike $7 per #. I cook them they same way. It helped gain confidence so I didn't over cook the experience SRF. Good luck.loveTheEgg said:
