On the topic of flip flops About 6 months out of the year if I'm not at work I have flops on. Olukai ohana are by far the best I have ever found. Whatever they put on them is soft like gel but slip resistant when wet. http://www.amazon.com/OluKai-Ohana-Sandal-Mens-Dark/dp/B001QL1EZC/ref=sr_1_3?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1455843619&sr=1-3&nodeID=7141123011&keywords=olukai

@nolaegghead how is the sole on the Simple Clog? Comparable to the Birkenstock sole as far as stiffness?nolaegghead said:I used to wear Birkenstocks or Simple clogs all the time. Expensive and not nearly resistant as Crocs to my lifestyle (grease monkey, cooking, etc).In the middle of Georgia! Geaux Tigers!!!!! -
@bo31210 Yes. I loved those clogs....went through several pairs. Used to get in trouble in bars kicking them off and clocking people (accidentally in fits of drunken madness). They are heavy.

@nolaegghead Thanks. Will give a pair a try soon. Been thinking about them but haven't found anyone who has worn them.In the middle of Georgia! Geaux Tigers!!!!!

Any nurse that wore crocs onto the unit were immediately sent home and laughed at in derision. Needles pass through those garbage "foot devices" easier than paper. Birkenstocks, Dansko(by far the most popular, probably because they add 2 inches in height), and those ugly-ass Alegria shoes - which happen to be orders of magnitude less-ugly than crocs.nolaegghead said:

Many nurses wear crocs and Birkenstock makes a nursing clog that is autoclaveable. (however the f that's spelled) -
I have 4 pairs of Birkenstocks. By far the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Flat feet suck, and they saved my back walking the unit.

@EggcelsiorSWMBO wears Birki nursing clogs at work. You haven't been to many country-bumpkin hospitals, obviously. Or I just made all that up.

For work, it's Eccos and New Balances.
For chillaxin' around the house with chores, Adissage Supercloud Slides
or Teva Katavis
Cold weather eggin, I just slip on bar laced Puma Classics.
