My wallet hates you guys!!!!

Everytime I come on here there is so many wants that my wallet can no longer sustain!!!

I was not sold on a smoke ware cap until I found a store that carries them. I went in to get a kick ash basket and found this store that I had no clue carried BGE's and boy what a find they had every single accessory and then some!

so here is today's purchase

About to 86 what we had expected to be quality grinders. They're $hitty and bind.
Looking at these right now. Your welcome

@1move Hard to tell, but it looks like that might be the old version of the smokeware cap.  The new version has a tapered opening.  I have the old version, but I'm looking to upgrade.  If it is, I would bring it back for the newer version.

If it is the new version, just ignore this.

You have popped the cherry and as @johnkitchens posts-self acknowledgement is a great hurdle to clear.  But I doubt that will help you in the long-run.  Too many avenues to lighten your wallet.
Take solace-at the end of the day you will have expanded your horizons and today that achievement is not to be discounted.  FWIW-

Lol!  I want a square one.  I have all square.  I want one for my MM.  I already have the adapter, but if I get a new one then I have to upgrade the other two.

    Oh the humanity.

Looks like we both did about the same shopping. My wife kept asking why I needed this stuff then she just gave up.  Actually, she gave up for the most part a long time ago but she does still ask occasionally. My son and I rode motocross for about 8 years. Buying the bikes was just the start, it's tricking them out that's even more fun so she is very used to this aftermarket stuff.

I'm smoking my first pork shoulder today so we'll see how it turns out.

How do you like the mini max, any different as far as taste/quality of the food? I'm considering buying one for our RV and really like the size of it for traveling. Just wondering if there's any difference in quality of food in the mini max vs. something like the small size BGE.

  • Smokeware has 18% off of their grill accessories for Presidents Day. I picked up a black & white temperature gauge and nomex gasket for my small.

  • That High-Que charcoal grate was the best addition to my MBGE, no more wiggle rods.

To be honest I think it's better flavour than the XL, for steaks and chicken at least. I love it and it was worth every penny in my opinion. I got one for the exact same reason and has never left the house.

Well they are $39.99 at the dealer here and $38ish from smoke ware. However that is Canadian dollars and our dollar is weak right now so technically I should be paying $55-$60. This is why I ran to grab another one. Technically I paid roughly $25 US for it

I have cooked on an XL,LG, MED, SM, MM, and a Mini. No difference in taste/quality, also have a Motor Home that we spend the winter in and we had a small before the MM was around. I like my small over the MM mostly because it has the nest that folds flat, it can be rolled around in the nest and I never need a table to put it on! I can store the small in a basement hatch with nest folded flat. The MM is almost as heavy as the small, has less room for lump. Saturday we were driving around in an RV park that was having a park wide yard sale and we spotted a MM sitting on the ground because there was not a picnic table to set it on. Good luck with your choice for the RV.
