Any East Coast Eggers Have Blizzard Cooks Planned?

Stay safe and warm! I'm just north of Pittsburgh, PA and I'm not really forecasted to get anything. 30 miles south, they're talking 8" and about an hour south much more. You're area (DC-->Balt-->Philly-->NJ) seems like it will take the brunt of it.
Enjoy the cook. Enjoy your bar!North Pittsburgh, PA

Looking like somewhere in the 1-5 inch range here in Raleigh NC (with some ice thrown in there for fun). I am thawing out a pork shoulder as I write this and was thinking I might make my first attempt at a breakfast fatty.
Can you share a pork butt burnt ends recipe? or link from the forum?
Thanks!Raleigh, NC -
@SGH gave me this recipe:
If you can, use a boneless butt. It's easier to cube up. Either will work fine but you don't have to deal with the bone if you use boneless. Simply cook the butt to a internal temp of 160-170 degrees. Pull from the smoker and cut into 1x1 cubes. Try not to cut them any bigger than this. I actually cut them a tad smaller, but as long as you don't go bigger than 1x1 all will be fine. Once cubed, place the cubes in a uncovered pan and sauce them pretty heavy with your sauce of choice. Place back on the smoker and continue to cook. After the cubes has cooked for a hour, taste one and see if it's done to your liking. If not keep cooking and sampling them until they are done to your liking. It's as simple as that my friend. Again, if you can use a boneless butt. It takes a lot of the work out of it when trying to cube. At 160-170 degrees the bone will not just pull out so it can be a pain trying to cube. I usually run 275 degrees from take off to touchdown. But I have did this as low as 225 and as high as 375 with great results. Just run where you like.

I live in the MD 'burbs, 15 miles NW of DC. Forecast now is for 20" to 30" on our side of town. For the first time since Xmas (when I got my egg) I am NOT planning on egging this weekend. Between the blizzard for 24+ hours, and then a corner house's worth of sidewalks to shovel, I can't imagine having enough energy or time to go out and shovel my way to the egg on the back deck.Stay Calm and Egg On

Then if you have enough energy , you can tackle the walks.
On a serious note . Take it easy shoveling, I have a friend that was doing his driveway, 5 - 10 mins into had a heart attack. He's ok but scary sh*t. -
Enjoy yourself @piney and share your finished pics.... We gonna get more ice here and few inches of snow.... In Snowmagedon (2010) w/4' on the deck, I had to shovel a path across the deck, down the stairs and down to grass for the dog. When I found out we were having steaks, I shoveled another 8-10' over to the egg and grilled the steaks with snow up to my chest. Pretty funny.
-
Apparently, I'm not going to get as much as they originally thought. If this thing stays far enough east, I may not get anything. Latest forecast says...
Total snowfall accumulations ranging from an inch or less in Northern Connecticut to 5-10" near the coast.
Big deal. LOL. I'm gonna guess 3" at my house, hardly worth gassing up the snowblower. I'm on a corner lot too, but no pesky sidewalks.
I love egging in the snow though. Plenty of food on hand, a couple of butts too (albeit frozen). Bring it on.I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

I'm guessing we'll lose power at some point, so I'll be clearing off the grill deck when I shovel on Sunday and firing it up Sunday evening.LBGE

I just pre-flighted my generator and I can hold out in a power loss. My Egg has a roof over it with an exhaust fan and I can keep my Egg out of most of the wind. I have some good Woodford Reserve anti-freeze to take the edge off of the cold.
I am steely eyed determined to do burnt ends on Saturday.Living the good life smoking and joking -
I am thawing a pork shoulder now....but my egg is frozen shut! I was going to clean and recharcoal it pre snow.....

We are supposed to be in the strike zone with a forecasted amount of 12-18" and 40mph+ winds. Can't wait. I love snow days, and yes, I have a driveway. 385 feet actually. The wheelhouse is gassed, the chains are on, and the plow is attached to it. Have the firewood stacked in the garage and ready to go in the stove.
Earlier in the week, I evaluated the charcoal stock and needed more. Off to Firecraft I went and got some as a reserve.
At work my wife and I were emailing and asked what I was going to cook. I said "whatever you want". We came home with some ribs and some beef loin flap meat. Never cooked the latter. Gonna give it a try.

We were originally forecast to get about a foot, but the latest forecast is 40% chance of snow showers in the afternoon.
I'm probably going to do a chuckle in the slow cooker. Lipton onion soup, veggies, etc. -
Absolutely. I'll continue egging till the blizzard hits NEFL. But, in the meantime I'll represent by egging in flip flops while I

Hearing it's going to be a "French toast" storm.
People are stocking up on Eggs, Milk and Bread.
Seriously...that's how it was reported up/over here.
Stay safe and warm. Best advice is hunker down and wait until it clears. Work from home, or take a snow day and enjoy the wonders of day time TV.

I'm thinking of cooking up a pork butt, but it may all depend on what the meat coolers look like at the local butcher. The misses will probably ask for some cobbler so I'll have to pick up apples for that.Medium BGE , iGrill2

I'm up at other end of state from you,Sussex Cnty. by NY boarder .We usually get the big snow but looks like you South Jersey guys are the big winners this time .Looks like the 3 stage Cub is staying tucked in the garage where it has been this winter so far. At least the lake froze enough for skating .Did my cook today ,got no roof over my stuff and if by some chance we do get something (probably won't) don't feel like being in it .Have fun with your cook ,playing with a new toy is a gas. I'm out in Frederick MD and most of the models put us right in the center of the storm. I have plans for a big pot of chili on the stove but nothing planned for the egg.... I plan to spend most of my time inside tending to some sort of beverage and relaxing with SWMBO. I'll head out on Sunday to clean up.
That said, I heard there may be times of 3-4 inches an hour and 40mph+ gusts, I may head out to experience some of that. I'm really jealous of @Eggcelsior cuz I think he's headed to the mountain for some snow sporting.
