My Dad & Mom surprised me on Christmas with my own Mini Max. I am excited to use it but, because I'm a night owl when it comes to work my Pops is helping me as far as set-up and general cooking at first. Other than that I'm good.

You know my old man. And here's some shots after assembly. @McStew Thanks for the handles! Awesome. Just like my Dads.

My first cook I went with a couple Chuck Roasts. Used our normal lump charcoal Rockwood and a bunch of Oak Wood. The meat got rubbed with Holy Cow and finished with a herb compound butter Dad made a few weeks ago.

Dialing it in.

After they got some good smoke I covered them with some compound butter. Sorry no finished pulled shots. I have to go to work now. I'm working the 3rd shift as usual.

I'm looking forward to many more cooks on this.

@Jeepster47 LoL Tom! We were totally just talking about Lump. I don't like having less than 100# and now a at around 70# I'm twitchy. He just laughed because he knows it's killing me not having that bag on his table to match mine.

Simply awesome brother. Your dad is a great man. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting him in person yet, but I have spent countless hours talking to him on the phone. I have a lot of respect for him. Congrats on the new egg and look forward to your future cooks. Enjoy it young man.

That's freaking sweet. Always awesome to see a parent promote and facilitate something their child has a passion for. Great looking cook also.
