Seems like a good idea, keep your feed at safe temps, start in time so that it' ready when you walk in the door. Might pick one up after the holidays.

Thoughts?

Curious of how it keeps the water cool until you're ready to sous vide. I'm guessing refrigeration of some sort to a bottom cold plate to chill just enough to keep in the safe zone. Cool concept. It's definitely designed for small batch cooks. Didn't appear to be a way to go to larger cambro or pot either.

Edit: only saw video till now. Color me stupid.

there are so many cool sous vide units coming on the market right now. This one looks great. I would never use the refrigeration part but I work at home. I can understand how a guy/gal who leaves at 6:30 am and gets home at 7 would have some use for it.

Haven't unboxed it yet. Also looking forward to the companion "smart griddle" for it which comes out next year.

I almost died in your socialist death panel murder machine hospitals last time I was there

. I do travel a lot but I won't be setting my sous vide to refrigerate meats for 4 days until I get back.

I love that one. That's my new fave. Been following it since the kick starter came out.
