Whats funny is Two Brothers started YETI and sold it to a Private Equity Firm and Two Brothers own RTIC
-
Yes...my Yeti cup seems to be loosing its power. It does sweat more from the top 1/3 of the tumbler than in the past. I wiped it off for the photo. Still a great mug and worth the $35 I paid before the price jumps.Hotch said:Is that a little condensation I see?
Times up, let NOLA back in!!!
I gave 5 out as gifts last year at $40 a pop plus tax. Giving the RTIC at $20 is a nice savings.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas -
Kind of funny...Yeti was the company forced to stop calling their cooler 65 quart in the marketing...because it was way shy of 65 quarts...lolcazzy said:
Yeti didn't invent either, and I do think they built a better cooler. I can only speak for what I own, but I think my RTIC 20 is a better cooler than the Yeti Roadie. It holds more drinks and holds ice just as long. The bonus is it was half the price. Bottom line, Yeti has been raping people...even for the ramblers, which I have bought 5 of.Ozzie_Isaac said:I see @Lit 's point, but if they can legally do it then competition is good.
Although, I have issue with all the Yeti name dropping they do. They are not building a better product or better brand, they are selling the same product and riding on Yeti's advertising dollar. They have a single website, no endorsements, and just let all the Yeti search's point to them.
Now Yeti has to call it model 65...Not only double the price but also a smaller cooler and it took legal action for Yeti to stop lying about the size.
So RTIC might look similar in style it is not a copy of the smaller Yeti cooler.
Glad you like the 20. Mine should ship soon along with the 45.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas -
On the radio this morning as I was driving in to work, there was a news story about luxury items as Christmas gifts. They mention the usual gifts and then mentioned the YETI brand as a luxury status symbol "Coolers and Drinkware". Then said they are having inventory shortages all at most retailers due to high demand for said luxury items.
I laughed so hard I about pissed in my pants!! Luxury item, who would of guessed some over priced beer cooler and cozi would be a luxury item!!!
Enough is enough, FREE NOLA!!!

If you think the vacuum has been compromised drop them an email or call them. They sent me a new one with a fed ex pre paid label to return the old one. They took my credit card number but it would only be charged if I didn't send the old one back.

Howdy sir! The RTIC is a wee bit bigger on the bottom than the Yeti - I measured it last night. I was devastated as my Yeti don't fit in my lil old cup holders.fishlessman said:can someone measure the diameter of the rtic cup at the bottom, the yeti is too big for my cup holder

Don't get ne wrong, all is fair in the cutthroat business of designer cups. I will probably pick up an RTIC in the near future.cazzy said:

Didn't know Conway twitty was a coon a$$

Brother Ozzie, this is wise. The coolers really are solid as a rock. I own several brands of rotomolded coolers and from what I can see, RTIC is about as good as it gets if you take Orion out of the equation. On that note, Orion is priced even higher than Yeti. With RTIC you get the second best cooler on the market at the very best price. Hard to beat in my book.Ozzie_Isaac said:I will probably pick up an RTIC in the near future.Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

The RTIC is a tad taller. At the bottom it is a tad bigger around. The top is the same diameter.

i have chevys too at work, when they break down i send out the dodge looking for the pieces that literally fell off, wheels, axles, driveshafts, fully aware about chevys, fords no better, maybe built a little stronger than chevy, but they nickel and dime you to death. oh, my dodge has a soft top convertible roof, 4x4, and pulls my 7000 pound boat with a mere 125 hp v6
