OT OMG Four Cats? OT

OMG four cats? Latest two, Hemingway Cats (7 toes). The grey is named Bimini and the tiger is named Havana. Names chosen from one of my favorite book, Islands in the Stream.

I have two of my own. 12 years old male and female from same litter. First time in my life that I have owned cats. But I will never be without some again! They keep me sane.

One cat is enough for me. My best buddy, Stimpy, has 3 1/2 paws in the grave due to Chronic Kidney Disease and he his barely 10 years old.

While a dog is great (had two great ones), my cat is on par with them.

Bimini has stray hints of orange in the grey, which is impossible to catch in a picture.

My other two cats are Lucy Fur and Monster. Monster wants to be buds with the new kitties, and Lucy basically says F**k you every time she comes near me. She is really pissed about new cats in the house, and she was my lap cat before. Not too happy about that.

@Mikee that's Jazz. He's 9 pounds and almost 7 months old. Bengal. Daddy was 25 pounds (very unusual) and mommy 12. We figure he'll be around 16

I had a snowshoe. Male. Best cat ever. He protected all the girls. Fought anything that invaded his turf. Needless to say the vet bills were higher than usual. I learned to be a home DIY surgeon with that cat.

I tried to get a good picture of monstro before he attacked me but he won't stay. He was the size of our other cats at 12 weeks.

I know what you are talking about. I give my cat IV's every 2-3 days. Its hard on him as well as me. I just put my vet face on. Either I do it or he goes to the vet.

@Dredger - We have a tuxedo. Cleo. She's sweet, shy and doesn't like to be in the house since the "monster kitten" arrived. They need time to adjust. Also we have a British Blue named Graycie. All our cats are rescues, except the Bengal - we bought from someone who bought from a breeder and couldn't handle him - he was destroying their trailer and they were not experienced with cats. We have scratching pads and cat toys as an outlet. He's a handful even for us but nothing destroyed that we care about.

@nolaegghead, all of ours just showed up at our door. They must be able to smell cat food through walls, lol. We've had Gracie for 13 years. We took in Gracie and her brother Bogie together. Bogie died this summer. We've had Max for 2 years. He showed up on our deck in October. A year later, also in October, Sylvester showed up on our deck. I think they have the same mother who now has our number. I told hubby that we're closing the deck off this October since the inn is as full as we want.
