OT -- Monday Morning Smokey Smell

After way too long a break in my egging action (boring story not worth telling), I had the pleasure of egging twice this weekend for the first time in months. Hard to describe just how good it is to be back in the game.
Among the many eggselent things about it, one of the very best is pulling up to my desk on Monday morning and still smelling like smoke. Applewood in this instance . . . neither the hot tub nor 2 showers removed the tell-tale evidence of a double weekend cook. So, I'm posting this here in lieu of walking the floor and asking people to smell my fingers, which I absolutely don't recommend.
Hoping to have lots of cooks to post throughout the Fall. And just like y'all, every one of my OT posts will relate to cooking. [Yeah, right . . .]

It's a 302 thing . . .

Congrats..I had another great steak weekend.. Searing at 700 dome with a 13" CI grate down low with a spyder. The NY strips were almost MedRare with a 2 min sear each side. Wife was most pleased. ( I normally do low/slows Ribs, Boston Butt etc)LBGE, AR. Lives in N.E. ATL

I love it when I go to the bar after getting a low and slow stable for the night, with the smell of BBQ smoke. A real man scent.Corpus Christi, Texas. LBGE x 2, Weber Smoky Joe, and Aussie Walk-About

The only thing better than going to bed with fresh bedding, is going to bed with BBQ smoke infused bedding. I try to hang my bedding out to dry during a smoke. mmmm...zzzzzzz.

The Monday morning smoke smell does warm my heart. One weekend I took it so far that my urine smelled smoky. I resisted the urge to ask others to smell it. XXL BGE, Karebecue, Chargiller Akorn Kamado, Weber Smokey Mountain, Grand Turbo gasser, Weber Smoky Joe, and the wheelbarrow that my grandfather used to cook steaks from his cattle

Be damned if I'm gonna be the one to ask!

Guess asking to smell your finger or urine is better than Cup-O-Cheesing someone...
