Me and two of my friends cooked in a KCBS event this past weekend. And boy was it an ADVENTURE! I would HIGHLY recommend everyone experience this sometime in their lives. Not only is the food amazing the atmosphere and community of all the other competitors is awesome. We competed in the Backyard division and out of 25 teams came in 15th overall (not too shabby for our first time). We did however receive all 9's in our appearance category portion of each meat! I have attached the turn in box pictures below. Let me know what you think! No negative comments will upset me

You took a mighty first step forward with such great looking cooks! You never lose at any competition, you either win or learn. Either way you can't lose. Great job!"Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

Congrats! Do you guys have another contest in your crosshairs this year?
BTW those 9's were impressive! Obviously this wasn't somebodies first rodeo! -
Good job.
The scoresheet will tell you where your problems are. Study it.
First contest is a big test, it teaches you quite a bit about the competition world.
Just keep practicing and getting better. Enjoy the ride.-SMITTY

Thats a very good BY division presentation. BY division is less harsh on presentation. Looks good for sure, but if you can get more compressed, even and compact parsley, and not have any "loose" odd balls you will kill backyard. Good work.

Looks like some mighty fine grub to me. Nice going.
