I'm acutely aware of this, since I have a diesel and most often, there is one or two diesel pumps on a shared island with the gas pump at a station. I wind up sitting behind a gas-engined vehicle while the driver is inside buying crap after pumping despite the fact that there are spots in front of the store.TexanOfTheNorth said:

Even worse? The ones that go inside, get food, and THEN come out and pump their gas at a non-prepay pump. Multitasking is not their forte. -

Recently got a Nexus card for cross border travel. Also gets TSA Pre-approved clearance in US airports. Still have to go through security but very short lines, keep shoes on and not required to take laptops, etc. out of bags. Reminds me of pre-9/11 security.TN_Egger said:TSA lines. Reason? ADA laws require it. The Braille pad to the left generally is instructional suggesting the user to use an earphone plugged into the machine to hear the feedback in privacy. Then the Braille on the keys are numerical so the customer can conduct their business like a sighted customer.bgebrent said:Braille buttons on ATM machines

I agree, but who said all ADA laws make sense? I was in banking when ATMs were first rolled out and I could tell you stories about some early assinine regulations which make the Braille issue pale! Banks got ripped royally by some PC inspired laws, which were resolved by adding the tiny camera to record who and what transpired!bgebrent said:@RRP, you are correct.
