Ash removal tool

What do you guys use to scoop the ash out of the bottom, below your coals? I have been using a small spade but it can't be the most effective method out there...

Umm, BGE's ash tool. After about every 3rd or 4th cook.

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

I bought a $30 shop vac.  With the kick ash basket cleanup is so easy.

Be careful. Ashes can stay live a lot longer than you think.

+1. Before cooking so I know ashes are cold. Get a small Craftsman with the fine ash filter. Cheap and easy.
