Smokeware Flat cap to snuff out the coals

  • Yeah, I have the old rectangular slots... I have some issues holding lower temps that I've been attributing to my CyberQ acclimating to the new cap. Maybe I'll buy again at some point... or maybe I won't.
I thought it sucked the old way. Temps would creep up and I could never trust it on an overnight.

This thread got weird real fast. I didn't even notice it until now...

@bstockton11 ... hey, thanks for posting that.  Had to look up "aficionado" to see what Matt was saying.  Told the missus, but she wasn't too impressed ... said something about right area of the dictionary, wrong word.  Hard audience at my house.

I have the flat cap.  I am happy with mine.  Glad I purchased it.

  • Looks cool, and I've noticed my smoke ware takes awhile to kilt fire, but $12.00 shipping is a bit much.  I'll wait till my dealer stocks them.

Well I am glad that's been resolved.  No more of that ugly "purist" name calling :)

Does the flat cap go up or down?  Does it matter?
