Confused but not Devastated

So I've been an egg owner for 10+ years and a true lurker (1 post) for 4 years. Some may call me a troll which I will gladly accept. However, here's a great example of how social media can be dangerous (instagram). There is some serious talent here but now it's all about expectation? Really? The majority of the folks here post for the love of the product and the pics of unreal food. When I went back and checked the post it was deleted. I can only hope it was an alcohol induced post. If the image doesn't display correctly bring the pain. Does this post accomplish anything in the grand scheme of things? Not really but I've followed BGC and have watched the opinions on both sides.

It is what it is. In a perfect world Honda would reimburse me for my cars and lawn mower, Sony would pay me for my tv's and PlayStation's, and I'd have Crown Royal dropping a couple bottles at my house every week... Still waiting....

+2. I would never expect any acknowledgement for "what I do." And I post a lot EVERYWHERE about the BGE. Even helped sell quite a bit of them at numerous store events. Just for the enjoyment of it all.

@BigGreenCraig , sorry bro, but if you want a job with Big Green Egg, fill out an application. You're "kinda" feeding off their name for your own gain anyways, which they could probably take legal action against. Don't give them a hard time because they haven't told you "thanks."

You know, for what it's worth, the guy is and has been all about himself, and that's it. If it doesn't help him in anyway, you'll never hear from him. Let him need help, he'll be your friend. I don't look at his posts any longer. I will give him props, he can cook, but so can many on this forum.

@BigGreenCraig is the man. He once made pizza with meat on it. That's how he rolls. Undercooked ribs. Yep all his followers wanted to blow him for that one. A good lens and lighting and anyone can make food look good. I heard he won Eggtoberfest!

I think my opinion of Craig would be very different had I realized he was just trying to sell tshirts with his name on them to help the mothership out. What does a guy have to do to get respect around here? Sheesh!

He 100% is out for himself and that screen grab proves just that. Why in the flying fvck should BGE acknowledge, appreciate or thank him. He should be thanking them as they helped him supplement his income. I know who should thank him. Meatchurch should...Holy Cow he likes Deez Nuts!

This is funny.... No one asked him to do what he's doing, he took that upon himself. He's making some money, still , just on his name (and a play on BGE) and from his blog traffic, plus any sponsors.

Exactly @tarheelmatt . No one ever asked him to take pictures and support the product (or have a 24 hour live cam). He took that upon himself. He's only aggravated about them not promoting whatever it is that he's trying to do. If he wants promoting, appreciation or something else, he needs to fill out an application for employment.

I've been hanging around here a couple of years and cannot figure out this love/hate relationship with big_breen_craig. This must of started with an incident I'm unaware of or before my time. I'm assuming that he tried to profit from t-shirts, but there's got to be more to the story.

Sometimes I hear people praise him and others rant.

It wasn't a post here he put on Twitter and Instagram that he was done with BGE because they haven't "paid him respect". He posted cooking on another kamado which I have no problem with. But it was his attitude.
