I hate the lower vent slider. I know it should fit tight but the fact it is difficult to slide and has those sharp edges is a very poor design, You would think they could make one that is airtight yet easy to move... other than that it work pretty good.
And on mine... the outer door can be pulled easily so the left edge is no longer over the screen. Getting it back over the screen can be a real PITA.
@TexanOfTheNorth ... saw where some one added a stack of stainless steel washers under the head of the right side mounting bolts.  That made a good looking stop for the sliding doors.

    Skiddy...

I took a small strip of gasket material an placed it running vertically on the back side of the draft door years ago...it works well to "tighten it up" and also keeps air from sneaking in the back side.

When I disassembled both my eggs this month to give them the 75,000 mile once over...I checked both of them  Large and Small...and both still good as new!

Might be worth your time trying it for yourself...but it sure works here...

I would like to find a way to start my Egg so that by the time I'm done prepping the food in the kitchen and I head back out it's ready to go.
Down here in South Carolina we have a saying......if you were in a hurry, you should have started sooner.  Just bustin on ya.....enjoy a nice cocktail while you wait. I do think that egging is not in any way a fast process. It comes with the territory.

I love my eggs, but I really can't wait to start smoking on my Shirley instead.

Love my LBGE, but I don't like that after 8 years some of the hardware (closed head hex nuts and Eggmates hardware) is rusting, and I wish there was a more straightforward way to get a combination direct/indirect setup with a bit of versatility (like the KJ divide and conquer). Also, the wheels that came with my nest are useless, but they changed this in subsequent version of the nest.

Don't have many complaints about the eggs. The factory gasket sucks unless you do nothing but low and slow. Guess my biggest gripe would be the pricing now. These damn things are getting out of control. And also lack of space for cooking...where is the XXXL?  =)

I really wish my egg came with a 12 foot inflatable mr. Egghead.  Besides that I love them and can't imagine life without one.

A larger egg is not portable by any easy means. It takes so long to cool down... Tailgates would be difficult. I know it can be done but still a pita
