Brother I know it makes some killer burgers, but I don't think my heart would hold out seeing a brisket dropped into a grinder. I would fall over dead at the sight of it!!!!cazzy said:No fork needed sir! I'm grinding up a packer for hamburger meat!

It is actually a pretty cheap option to get some quality ground beef. If it makes you feel any better, I'm tossing another prime packer on that Vault at midnight!SGH said:

Damnit. I gotta get to Texas. Brisket burgers. Now that's frigging cool.Slumming it in Aiken, SC.

Brisket burgers are phenomenal! Definitely worth grinding one up in my opinion. And I agree with you on the low cost. Looks like your brisket was $3 ish per pound. Ground beef will run you much more than that these days.

Plus it likely won't be prime and I know my grinding tools were properly cleaned.Dyal_SC said:Brisket burgers are phenomenal! Definitely worth grinding one up in my opinion. HEB had rib eyes for $4 a pd last week which was a perfect opportunity to ground up for burgers. They were delicious.

Thanks for the compliment! I use the meat grinder attachment on my Kitchen Aid stand mixer. I don't really do heavy lifting with it so it works pretty good for what I need.EggDan said:@cazzy wow. That burger looks outstanding. What Grinder brand do you use?

Try these out if you get a chance @cazzy ... I've posted about them a few times. A buddy of mine told me about them and they are the best fries I've ever eaten. Easy as all get out too.

That definitely is unlike any way I've ever seen them cooked. Jöel Robuchon is the potato king so I will definitely try. Not surprised that he recommends Yukon Gold as those are his go to.Dyal_SC said:Try these out if you get a chance @cazzy ... I've posted about them a few times. Brisket makes some of the best burgers. I grind it up with bacon. You are hard-pressed to beat that meat. (for burgers, dirty-minded people). That's half the battle. Cooking it is the second half. Then making the burger is the third half.
