Dad's Day dinner

So...my newbie self made brisket and smoked mac & cheese for dinner tonight.   The family LOVED it!   We also had a montage of side dishes provided by family.  The brisket and mac & cheese stole the show!  Thank you Egghead friends for supplying the inspiration for my BGE dishes!!

Wanna know all about the smoked MAC n cheese............you could have served that on a plate with a pipe wrench as the side dish, and I would have ate it all!

Well, "spa-Peggy" is kind of like spaghetti. I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.

I made my usual mac and cheese recipe.  The egg was still hot from cooking the brisket.  Tossed in a huge handful of wood chips....got the temp up to 325ish and put the Mac and cheese on the rack with the platesetter beneath. It probably cooked for half hour.  All I can say is my family LOVED it!!!  The neighbors were so envious.

It looks outstanding Mrs. Belle. Mac and brisket, it just doesn't get much better than that. Awesome job sister.
