dblalock1030 You asked a question on the OFFICIAL Throwdowns so I'm answering it here. MY normal setup for multiple pies is the oval stone on the bottom of the AR. Then on the next level I put a grate and a round stone for a pie, then another stone on the rig extender for multiple pies.

Thanks for the kind words @KiterTodd. I should get some style points for cracking my XL base.  :s

Ugh, that's rough.  I'm sure BGE will take care of you.  That egg had to be pretty darn hot for a long time based on the look of your gasket as well as that base.  On the upside...the base didn't give way when you had an 800+ degree fire in it!
I know New York calls it pie, but Chicago deep dish is more of a pipe type the NY to me.  I like both and all types and about anything on it except anchovies. Yuck!  ...
I have had some Chicago deep dish and loved it!  I mean, it's not pizza, but it's damn good food!  ;)

    Kidding, I kid...

I'm with you on anchovies.   I do like their taste a little bit, like in Caesar dressing, but can't do it when it's real strong.

I think I'm going to head over to the mothership this afternoon. I want to see the new place and I assume the process will go more smoothly. I've got a SRF brisket thawed that needs the XL this weekend.
