My wife is vegan. Wouldn't care at all if you called it animal flesh. She does it for health reasons not because she cares about people eating meat.

I used to work at Cargill Meats - (Excel, Ranchers Choice/Safeway) and host of other brands) where we did close to 75K head of beef/day. That didn't include pork or turkey. It was kind of a cool salvage operation. Whole cattle walk in, boxes of pieces come out. The "cute" herd of cattle on the hillside grazing... DINNER!!!!

Well, I didn't make it. Dead cow at lunch. Likely a deceased chicken or pig will be involve for supper. I'm sorely disappointed in myself.

Hmmm...had duck and ribs for lunch before I read this and think we're having cow for dinner. My breakfast was meat free, though.

I think its the vegetarians who are being insensitive. If their numbers keep increasing, there will soon be no plant matter left for our beloved meat animals to eat.
