Let us cross over the river . . .
. . . of "Hell Or High Water"
Watermelon Wheat Beer,

(That swill is a shameful waste of perfectly good aluminum!)
. . . and Egg under the shade of the trees.

Everyone who grills is a slave to preparation.
Baconion rings, prepped for the Egg.

Toothpicks, getting soaked.
Shrimp, getting heat.

On the left, Cholula-coated shrimp rolled in bacon just enough to cover it.
Threaded wooden skewers through the bacon and then added cayenne pepper.

300°, dome

These garnishes for Bloody Marys are almost done.
They go into the glass with the shrimp at the bottom. Bloody Mary is built around the skewer.

(Alas, some consumables did not survive long enough for the final photo session.)

One chicken breast flattened and marinated - destined for one helluva sandwich.
Another chicken breast cut into strips and marinated - destined for her salad.

And the bratwurst? Purt near perfect.

As always, I assure that it tasted better than the mediocre photography portrays.

what possessed you to buy that beer
fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it -
Looks great however I'm not sure General Jackson would partake. Old Jack stuck to a fairly bland diet.

You're right.
He wouldn't even have touched the Bloody Marys unless they were constructed sans vodka.

I'm not a big fruity beer drinker myself. RJ Rocker's Son of a Peach is pretty good stuff though if you ever want to try another fruity beer. The food looks fantastic.1 large BGE, Spartanburg SC

I agree with YEMTrey. I had some and thought it wasn't bad especially really cold.YEMTrey said:I've had the beer. I thought it was alright. I've definitely have had far worse.Clarendon Hills, IL -
I am sure I have had worse. In high school I drank "Red White & Blue" brand once and only once. I can only imagine that horse piss would have tasted better.

I've had the RW&B @johnkitchens ! it is truly disgusting with floating yeasties in it.
I received this Horse Piss as a gift once. Not AS repulsive, but definitely more expensive $hitty beer.

@RRP, Miss Olde Frothingslosh - damn that's a memory jogger, haven't seen since Villa Park IL, late 90's Armanetti's liquor stores - about the same time as Billy Beer, President Carter's beer expert brother. The best swill was Blatz, under $3 for a 24 in bottles....
@Sardonicus - unreal looking cook.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad! -
I like watermelon and I like beer. I don't have a notion to try watermelon beer. Really nice work.
