It might be a small if you base it on the screw pattern of the handle. The screws are much closer to the handle in the small and your egg as that of the medium.tarheelmatt said:
Dang, by the pictures, I believe you're right.SmokeyPitt said:I don't know man that might be a medium. It has 4 screws holding the draft door, and the draft door looks bigger than my small.

How does the inside look? Can't really go wrong for $150. Great find.Joe - I'm a reformed gasser-holic aka 4Runner Columbia, SC Wonderful BGE Resource Site: http://www.nakedwhiz.com/ceramicfaq.htm and http://www.nibblemethis.com/ and http://playingwithfireandsmoke.blogspot.com/2006/02/recipes.html

@OmahaOne the older eggs had 4" handles and close screw spacing on all sizes.
I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

I'll get some good pictures of it this evening. It's still sitting in my car ,buckled in.4Runner said:How does the inside look? Can't really go wrong for $150. Great find.------------------------------

Okay, snapped a few pictures after I got it out of the care and set up. Need to figure out what I want to do with it. I do believe I will try to find a Nest on CL for it. Be nice if I could use the large nest I have.
1 - Sitting purdy
2- Not sure why this looks this way. The Egg was sitting outside and uncovered. My large grate looks good. May have to replace this soon.
3 - Fire ring and grate
4 -
5 - Under the hood...
6 - In the hole....
7 - The line-up
8 - All items in and ready to go!
9 - Beautiful day today.
10 - Little rust on the hardware....
11 -
12 - Little crackle in the glaze
13 -
14 - Getting the large ready for a pizza pie...
15 - Canadian bacon, banana peppers, onion, pepper, mozzarella
16 - Cooked some strips the other night and didn't post. I'll just post now...

Oh, and guess what.... The ol PamperdChef stone broke on me today in two pieces.
On the backside you can see it... Little moisture hit and I heard "pink - pink"... The next pie even more broke. Guess it's a BGE stone now.

So this is a medium @tarheelmatt? If your location is in your sig, I am a bit east of you but have an "old" style med nest you are welcome to have. I found it a bit unstable by design and replaced it with the current nest but hey, it's free.
-
@DoubleEgger and @DMW , lol... I still cannot believe it. Want to get out there and start a burn/clean burn. The grate looks like it hasn't seen any use at all.
@NCSmoky I may take you up on that offer. Where are you located exactly?------------------------------

Matthew, you might consider a piece of 1/4" steel plate. I got mine for about $12 from a steel yard that sells cutoffs for $1/lb (poor man's Baking Steel®). I like it better than my BGE stone. And it will NEVER break!tarheelmatt said:Oh, and guess what.... The ol PamperdChef stone broke on me today in two pieces.

@tarheelmatt, after I saw your deal I was using search tempest to check CL ads. I saw a medium for $700 up the road from you in Trinity and I saw a medium with a weathered table for $1300.
-
Thanks, did they cut in a circle for you too?Carolina Q said:

Yeah, that's crazy. I cannot remember what a medium goes for new, but that's crazy what they're asking for those, especially the one with a table.DoubleEgger said:@tarheelmatt, after I saw your deal I was using search tempest to check CL ads. @DoubleEgger I told the wife with those prices I could probably get $450-$500 easily from this one.

Looks like it is in solid shape. I think I would probably go for a new SS cooking grid and maybe go ahead and upgrade the fire grate with a high-Q with all that money you saved!Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.
-
Was looking at the High-Que and was a little skeptical. I know people love theirs, but appears that the smaller lump would fall through.SmokeyPitt said:Looks like it is in solid shape. I just ordered one of these a second ago. Like that plenty of air can flow and appears to not let a lot of the smaller pieces through.

They make a KAB for the medium now. Thats the plan for mine.

Guess I didn't think about those... Hmm.. Well, this wasn't a bad price, so I'll try this. The HQ just looked like larger pieces would pass.Ozzie_Isaac said:They make a KAB for the medium now. Thats the plan for mine.

@NPHuskerFL it came with grid gripper, electric starter, daisy wheel, and a bag of charcoal. Guy said he thought he had the "wheels", but couldn't find them anywhere. He was referring to the nest I presume.------------------------------

Great score on the second egg brother tar. Now you don't have any excuse for making lightweight meals
Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.
Status- Standing by.
The greatest barrier against all wisdom, the stronghold against knowledge itself, is the single thought, in ones mind, that they already have it all figured out. -
Thanks buddy. I have yet to make a fire in it. Hopefully soon.SGH said:Great score on the second egg brother tar. Now you don't have any excuse for making lightweight meals

Thanks! I haven't measured yet to be honest, but by the looks of all its characteristics, it's a medium.anton said:Looks like a medium! Congrats dude, measure the grill diam, medium is 15-3/4 "------------------------------

Oops, just saw this. No, they didn't, though they might have I guess. I was planning to do it myself, but never did. In any case, it fits perfectly in my oven and that's where I do all of my pizza. It also fits (barely) in my Weber kettle if I need an outdoor flat top.tarheelmatt said:

I keep meaning to go back and get a couple more for the mini and the large. I have a metal cutting bandsaw, but I don't know how tight a radius it will cut. Might wind up with a couple of stop signs. LOL. Wish the place wasn't 40 miles away!I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Having a friend build me a small table to sit beside my current table for the medium. Looking good so far!
