The mystery has been solved. It wasn't from a BGE forum member. It was from a friend who happens to be visiting family in Texas. Atlas, still no mercy from the gods.

Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

    Status- Standing by.

The greatest barrier against all wisdom, the stronghold against knowledge itself, is the single thought, in ones mind, that they already have it all figured out.

my favorite of all is Scottie is explaining the Houston postmark could be from Austin by comparing to Saucier and Gulfport

    Brilliant.

What's brilliant about it^^^^^^^. It's absolute fact. Nothing I send from either of my homes will be post marked from the local post offices. It will ship to the major hub in Gulfport and from there be sent out. I have no idea if Austin is big enough or do they use Houston as their major hub. I merely made the comparison trying to narrow down where the package came from.
My mail postmarks from Augusta ga. So yeah, agreed.

I thought the comparison was good. My mail postmarked from Cheyenne unless I mail it out on Saturday then it's postmarked Denver.

I can just imagine my wife's reaction after spending years raising our kids to be careful with things like the internet and I get an anonymous package with some homemade rub in a ziploc baggy that's probably from someone I know from an internet forum.  That would be a fun discussion.
I am still laughing at this post.. So So true.. Esp. if she has seen anything from the Devastated thread..

....I was truly "devastated" when I found out what I owed.
OMG... one of the "magic" words!!

IF SGH is truly "devastated"... and IF he would drop in a reference to a puppy... and IF he would post an address... Then we could start a ground swell of support for him.

EVERYBODY on here should send him (1) rub or sauce (commercial or otherwise)!!  A quest!!  ...a new category for the Guinness book of records!!

I can see it now.  A line of UPS vans, blocks long, snarling traffic as they make their way to his house to deliver BBQ goodness from around the nation (dare I say the world??)

A grand and glorious endeavor!  Are you in?
