I like the occasional hot and spicy turkey burger topped with fresh avocado.  I might have to pick some up tomorrow.  Thanks for the idea!

You know we eat em. These look solid Doc. I like working sweet onion, jalapenos, sauces,  etc into the mix sometimes just to give it a lil something extra.

try ground chicken as well.  we always mix plenty of 'stuff' into ground poultry - most of the time we mix in finely chopped sauteed onion, mushroom, carrot and peppers

I was expecting to see buns.  Because of your plating I take it, no buns, just served as patties.  That is out of the box thinking IMO.  I just might have to give that a try.  So did you grind your own turkey meat, or just buy pre-ground turkey from the grocery store.  I'm guessing the teriyaki sauce and garlic were mixed in with the meat.  Was it raw garlic, or did you saute or roast the garlic first?

It was Publix ground turkey mixed with teriyaki and ground garlic.  It cooks in the meat.

If you want to bump up the teriyaki flavor without making the meat too mushy brush some on the surface as it cooks.

We serve ground meat like a steak frequently.

I think I might try doing this and see what the fam damily thinks about it.
The wife doesn't really like steak, but she likes entree's that have ground meat or sausage in them.

I'm thinking if I buy turkey thighs and grind them up, I could have something a little more juicy and flavorful than ground breast meat.

@mickey get some turkey thighs and do this.

It's easy to modify. I don't even add the gelatin but instead of broth use stock. I add onions instead of mushrooms and add thyme. Whatever works, but bump up the spice level.
