Starting to Get Green in Wyoming

It's been a bit since I've posted on the forum. I've had a few chaotic months. Between work and trying to not focus so much on food, I decided to take a hiatus from the forum. Nothing against you great people, just needed to take a break from online time. I've still been Eggin', nothing extravagant, just simple stuff. As I was driving home this morning, I noticed how green everything is starting to get. Decided to take a few pics this morning and thought I would share them with you. Also posting a few cooks done within the last week or so. I guess posting pics has changed some. Looks like the steak pics are out of sequence with the chop pics and the scenery is in the middle. I'll hit post and see what happens.

Thanks @Chubbs, I never realized you were from Columbia until I just read your signature line. I've been there a few times for training when I was in the Army. I must say, it's beautiful country down there also. I enjoyed going down to myrtle beach and a few other areas. Breakfast at the Original Pancake House just outside the gate of Ft. Jackson was fabulous. I definitely wasn't a fan of the weather or the fire ants though.Steven

@logchief, the cooks are mine, but not the land in the scenery pics. The pics are overlooking one the polo fields a few miles from my house. I do have a simlar view from my house though. Here's a pic taken from my porch. I lived a good portion of my life in SoCal and it was great. Having the ability to go surfing in the Pacific and being able to drive to a ski area in the same day is pretty cool. So much to do in SoCal. Professional sports, entertainment, theme parks, restaurants, walking distance to the beach, mountains(when you can see them through smog), 4 hours to Vegas etc. etc. Good times in California.
With all the greatness California offers, I'm so glad to be out of the rat race. Wyoming is the best place I've lived in within the states or overseas. I look at California as an awesome place to visit, but not to live.
Hmm...Population of 580,000 in 97,000 sq. miles and no state taxes vs. Los Angeles County with 10 million people stuffed in 4,000 sq. miles that is always wondering if Wyoming will share their water with them.
Wyoming! The best place on earth..

@allsid, I did miss the pile-ups. Not much snow in Sheridan this go round. How about Missoula? I-80 between Laramie and Cheyenne is one nasty stretch of road. My son's going to school at UW and thankfully he wasn't involved. When my daughter was in college down there, she got caught right in the middle of one of those monster crashes. Somehow she and her car out unscathed. The semi's are crazy on that highway.Steven

You know what that means @NPHuskerFL? If she happens to hit a stretch of good Spring weather with perfect 65° days, you might be coming back to the region. If you move back, you won't have to be around all the Husker haters.Steven
