Some of you may not know, but I purchased my first boat about two months ago. It's been my main focus for the last month or so, to make sure it's in safe operable condition. Happens to be a 1975 seacraft. Potter built! (Maybe I'm a boat nerd, but I am in the industry, so I love the old classics)
back on topic...I have been running the boat every weekend to have lunch, dinner, etx. Just trying to prepare myself and it for fishing. Well satirday last week I took it out the jetties for the first
time. And good news is, she catches fish!! Me and a buddy from work had a great time and caught enough fish for dinner for all. Here's my share.

Congradulations on the boat brother fusion. Great looking fish as well. I do have to correct you on one thing though. That above is not dinner. That is a snack to tide you over until dinner is done
Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.
Status- Standing by.

Spanish mackerel? I like it pickled as sushi. That's an oily fish, tough to cook for the average person. Congrats on the boat. I really want one, but need to find a place to put it.

Oh @sgh I love your appetite!!

The Spanish was kept for bait!! The sheephead was dinner!!

Just curious. Do you have a pic of your boat? Would love to see it. I'm pretty nostalgic myself.

I do. I'll share a day of purchase pic, and a after cleaning pic. Pics will be all out of order, but you can see!!

My plan is to fit the boat down to the hull
and rebuild it from scratch in a year or so. -
Great looking dinner you had there and congrats on the boat.Raleigh NC, Large BGE and KJ Joe Jr.

How do you like the Suzuki? They are getting pretty popular down this way.

I'm a big Yamaha guy, but have heard nothing but good about the Zuks. A 140 zuk is very light, which it needs to be on this older boat to maintain the COG. The new four Stroke technology and weight was not planned for with older boats.

@sgh I probably only have 30 hours on it, but so far it's perfext.

Huge commercial fishing fleet here. Most of them run Yamahas on their smaller boats. Those things are tanks. Any motor will last if you take care of it. Looks like a sweet boat.

Thanks Nola. Like I said, I'm a huge Yamaha guy. Any boat I'm fishing offshore or commercially I am on yamahas. When this one goes, Yamaha.
