I fell asleep after the third paragraph. Fortunately the phone rang and I could wipe the drool off my keyboard. Yep, those British authors sure understand the dynamic of our country. Now I think I'm going to get a lobotomy and join the up is down, down is up movement.henapple said:

This is pretty impressive since these appear to be Shiba Ini's and they can be hard to train to even come or sit.Eggcelsior said:

As soon as I get it, I'll post updated pics. Speaking of updates....I went to see Chris at Watson's. He wanted the email and pictures forwarded to him so I guess he could have it in writing what was being replaced. At first he wasn't going to do it because I didn't buy the egg from there originally. But Bruce said take it to any distributor, he didn't say it had to be where I bought it. So Chris called Bruce to get the "okay" to replace the base. Long story short, Bruce is not only replacing the base, but the dome as well. The only thing I have to buy myself is the plate setter and the metal band that goes around the base. The hinge assembly looks okay to me so I don't think I need to buy that too. While it will likely be a few weeks before I actually get my egg, I'm not going to complain. BGE has been more than generous. The least I can do is be patient. I do want to thank the people on here who were going to set up a fund to help me get a new one if BGE didn't help out. That was truly a very nice gesture and I deeply appreciated it. You all are a great bunch of people. And entertaining, I might add. I love checking this thread every few hours to see what the topic of discussion is. I never thought my initial post would get so much attention. I expected a few "Hey, sorry to that" and such, but this has been a week long rollercoaster of topics and has been a blast. I'm wondering what else we can add into the mix.ShannyShooShooOwner of 1 Mini BGE and 1 Wood-fired Brick Oven.Mother of 4 boys, 1 obese feline, 1 mean-assed chow, 1 rowdy bulldog, and 6 completely spoiled sugar gliders -
It's great they are taking care of you.
I just got home and am getting loosened up for the festivities. No telling where this will go tonight. I look forward to it. -
There's so many folks that regretted buying a platesetter that somebody will probably pony one up for you.

I rescued another sugar glider last night. Though this one is going to live with my oldest son. Hopefully after her quarantine, they can integrate her in with their other two. This baby is somewhere between 12-14 weeks old. Has been alone since taken from her parents, lived in a birdcage, and was fed bird food. I must have missed the fine print on the bags of bird food that say it provided adequate nutrition for sugar gliders. Sugar gliders are omnivores. Feeding them bird food would be like us eating bird food. Not sure that would be too tasty grilled. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4P_643cel4&feature=player_embedded#t=92ShannyShooShooOwner of 1 Mini BGE and 1 Wood-fired Brick Oven.Mother of 4 boys, 1 obese feline, 1 mean-assed chow, 1 rowdy bulldog, and 6 completely spoiled sugar gliders

I use it when I do brisket or anything that I set a waterbath under it. Never had a chance to try pizza on it.ShannyShooShooOwner of 1 Mini BGE and 1 Wood-fired Brick Oven.Mother of 4 boys, 1 obese feline, 1 mean-assed chow, 1 rowdy bulldog, and 6 completely spoiled sugar gliders
