    I've given up the thought of retirement. Maybe change of careers at some point, but I can't imagine retirement.

    Retire, no. However I dont plan on taking work so seriously for the next 25 years. Career change in the near future. Maybe drive/operate
     the monorail at Disney.

    This thread went south quick. Hard for me to imagine a bunch of people spending thousands on grills with no retirement plan. I have paid the same taxes for years no matter who is in office not sure why this is brought up on a BBQ forum.

    I agree, both parties like to spend our money.

    I can't imagine truly retiring because I think I'd get bored and drive my wife crazy.

    If I retired, I'm afraid my liver would fall out.

    My plan is to retire at a reasonable age, start cooking on the Egg (or other fun toy) every day, significantly increase my beer intake, put on an extra hundo, and die of a massive heart attack at a slightly older age.  All things considered, not a bad way to go.

    Pitmaker is where it's at. It does one thing.... smoke that's it. And lots of it. I want one. But don't need it. Maybe someday. I'm thinking of maybe building concrete block version. 

    2-XLs ,MM,blackstone,Ooni koda 16,R&V works 8.5 gallon fryer,express smoker and 40" smoking cajun

    Geez guys, you don't retire from life, just from the job/career.  Many of you on here are interested not only in egging, but many other things.  Retirement opens up some time to dive deeper into those areas ... or investigate a completely new area of interest ... or several areas of interest.  Retirement is absolutely the best gig going.

    Most popular cooker on the competition circuit is probably still the 18" Weber Smokey Mountain.
