nice, I love my wok. I think that im getting it too hot cause the oil gets super angry when I add the first ingredient to it. Almost to the point of flashing the oil to a fire. Just need to work on my timing. A good website that was recommended by @village idiot was www.rasamylasia.com . great recipes and creative ingredients.St. Johns County, Florida

@Roadpuke0 go to workshop.com and watch seasoning videos. Depending on the material, it's a little different. Still super easy.

@Roadpuke0 I have the spider and it has a high or low setting, depending how you put it in. I think that my wok was too low and getting too hot too quick.St. Johns County, Florida

What setup do you have there? I see a lump reducing ring, but that doesn't look like a Spider for an XL.They/Them

Here is what I did:

The key os to use cooked rice thats has been chilled in the fridge over night. THis dries out the rice and makes it easier to FRY and not absorb the oil and become mushy. I think I may have watch a few youtube videos to gather the technique.XL BGEJoe JRBaltimore, MD -
@Roadpuke0 - feel free to ask any questions.
Oh yeah, frozen veggies too. Peas and carrots is what I always use. remember, youtube is your friend. Adapt what you learn for the egg.XL BGEJoe JRBaltimore, MD -

Very Nice! We used ours last night too for a simple vege / shrimp combo. This is starting year 3 for my wok (from The Wok Shop in San Fran) . . . it gets more beautiful every year!
TIP: buy some nice welders gloves, protects hands during fry & makes it super easy to bring hot wok into the house.

@NDG you're right, one really needs some nice gloves as the heat comes off the sides of the wok is pretty tough to handle.
I use the gloves I just bought for taking stuff out of the Egg while hot. They're pretty dang good gloves. They have a high cuff too.
