Brother the grub looks awesome for sure. That's one of the great things about having a BGE. It doesn't matter how cold it is outside, its still 250 degrees in the BGE. For winter use, its hard to beat the BGE. The ceramics work outstanding at retaining heat no matter the weather conditions. Again. excellent job =D>

What part of NW Iowa are you? My grandparents are in Granville and cousins in Orange City. I'm from Waterloo originally. You got quite an arctic blast up there! Brisket looks amazing, I'll be doing my first one either this weekend or next. Is it weird I'm nervous about it? Done Ribs, butt, turkey, chicken, cornish hens, lamb, salmon...but I'm nervous about screwing up a $50 piece of golden beef haha

Great job on the Brisket, I use Black Pepper, Kosher Salt equal portions and 1/2 portion of Dark Brown Sugar for rub. 2 hours FTC likely made up for some cooking time, I've been using 1.25 hrs a pound with an hour FTC and am having great success, as long as my son in law leaves the lid shut
