If I'm in a hurry, I put the food on right after the smoke passes the sniff test. If I'm not in a hurry, I let it go for a beer (standard unit of time for me while cooking).FarmerTom said:Fred19Flintstone I gotta agree with you. I don't see the point. As much as you guys cook, it's obviously not going to hurt you. Lump costs too much to waste it (at least it is for me.) Maybe I haven't done a low enough cook, but always seems the smoke has cleared by the time the dome is hot enough for my cooks, and I don't want to wait any longer than necessary to start cooking.

@UncleFred congrats on stirring up a $hit$torm. Might I suggest in the future you do so on Friday or Saturday so I don't have to work the next morning? TIA

Dude, you're beyond reason. Why should I put anymore effort into this. You're burning $120 worth of RO a year and telling everyone else they're wrong. You want someone else to foot the bill to get you an alternative lump and I'm not contributing? (see small egg, lump question thread). -
Yo... if you lived on the west coast you could rant and still get to bed at a decent hour... AND have better weather!theyolksonyou said:@UncleFred congrats on stirring up a $hit$torm. Might I suggest in the future you do so on Friday or Saturday so I don't have to work the next morning? TIA

It ain't San Diego, but at least my eyeballs don't freeze when I go outside. I do agree with both points though.

O.K. here's another question to ponder...
1. We see the sun shine as bright yellow (I know this for a fact because I live in San Diego).
2. The full moon shines from reflected sunlight (no internal light source)...
So how come we see the full moon shine as brilliant white??? I mean, if I shine a yellow light on a white wall at night it still reflects yellow...

Jeremiah Where are you finding Rockwood for $ 10 a bag? I want to get in on that deal. $20 is a great price around here.

@FarmerTom I believe he's referring to royal oak at $10 not Rockwood. $20 seems to be pretty standard for Rockwood.
