Very Simple Saturday Night Cook (Pork Loin) (Pics)

My kids love pork loin, and I do too, so I cooked one Saturday night. It was a very busy day, but I wanted to cook and this was simple enough.
Every time I cook a whole one the flavor seems lacking. I started having my butcher cut them into 1" slices for me. That way I can get more flavor into each piece. It works out better for me this way.

I used salt and pepper and bone sucking sauce rub on each individual piece.

I ended up with 20 slices, and that many was going to overcrowd one egg so I cooked on both of them.

I cooked these direct because for some reason bridezilla prefers direct over indirect. I was informed of this 10 minutes AFTER I got back from my dealer with a new platesetter so I would have one for each egg.
I cooked these at around 350. It didn't take long. I pulled them at 145.
Here is a pathetic attempt at a plated pic. Don't laugh too hard, but here goes.

I know this was just a very simple cook and not really worthy of posting, but I had fun, and it was good so why not?

I like the idea of cutting into chops. You can even do different seasoning for different tastes. Now, get on the horn with Coach Mark and tell him to take it easy on us Saturday. We just backed into another ACC championship game and would like for more than the 27 people who bought tickets last year to show up.

Thanks Jason. I never count on GA to beat three teams no matter how good we are playing. That is South Carolina, Florida, and Georgia Tech. You can see how the first two of those three went for us this year!

Good idea to create more surface area for seasoning. Quicker to finish on the egg too.
It's definitely worth posting, the more people post the more ideas for everyone. Sometimes one can get in a slump cooking the same stuff, so it's great to sign into the forum to get new ideas. I Also like that you put the details of the cook in the thread.Steven

Good looking cook.I'll be in Sanford Saturday morning watching the Dawgs tee it up between the hedges against the North Avenue Trade School. Nothing better than "Good Ole Fashioned Hate Week". Gonna hate to see David Andrews graduate. Not only is he one of the top centers in CFB but one of the best kids you could ever meet.

Thanks guys! I need to work on my plated pics. One thing I learned is to remove all utensils before taking the photo.
