Price on a Medium

I found somebody who is selling a New in Box (Medium) Big Green Egg for $700. It includes a place setter. Nest. Charcoal. and Cover. Is it a good deal? I saw for this same setup at a local store is around 880. I would have to drive about an hour to pick up but that is not too big of a deal. Any input would be great thanks.

Without warranty, a new MBGE - pristine condition as in still in the box is worth <$500, even with the nest, setter and cover.

The value in the egg, as far as I am concerned is the warranty. If it can still be registered, $700 is a good price, without registration it is at least $200 too high.

How do I know if it can still be registered? The person said it was her husbands. He may have won it or it was given to him but he doesn't have any use for it. Sent pictures and shows everything in boxes never opened

I paid $698 at Dizzy Fest for mine. It included the egg, setup, some rubs and a ticket to the fest and 10% off in the store that day.

To me, that's high if it doesn't have a warranty, but prices vary a lot by location. Got the big sales coming in four weeks, so patience may be rewarded.

If it's new in the box and hasn't been registered it's worth it. If not I would say $400-$450.

I concur. About 250-300 too high. Can get a similar deal at many dealers right now.

Than it's able to be registered. You have to get the serial number stamped inside the lid.

But it also has to be bought from an approved retailer. Soon, if you could find out where it was bought from than maybe...

As long as it is from an approved dealer and never opened you should be able to register it. Being that it isn't opened it couldn't have been registered. Just check where they got it. Good luck.
