Very true.  How did that go over?  My SWMBO told me 1 egg, no more.  I told her that anything is negotiable... she said so is sleeping in the bed or not.

The second one is the hardest to get the approval. It gets easier after that. (Maybe she just gave up, not sure)

Either that or just make sure the next one doesn't care how many eggs you buy.

I want the small, but my SWMBO says no and we have plenty of medical bills right now and more coming. maybe next spring if things are better. I can see where the mini or small would make more since for three people and would save on lump a little. Advantage is the mini is very easy to take with you.

HuskerMaMa said something quite similar. And now she is excited to see the arrival of our MAX that we have and still are patiently waiting for. ;)

Right after I got my second egg, I made her dinner one evening when she worked late. She appreciated it so much that she said "If you keep cooking like this for me, you can have as many eggs as you want." Therefore, I have continued to do so and she has given me a hard time a little bit but has overall, been very understanding. I'm a lucky guy!

Yesterday when I was leaving to pick it up, she expressed the "NO MORE!" message.
    ;)

When I got it home, she fell in love with it so I didn't have to sleep on the couch. She said "It's just so CUTE!" with a big smile on her face. I think everything is going to be OK.

I had my wife so convinced that I needed a 2nd egg that she even started justifying it to our friends. I should be in sales. ;)

The second egg (mini) she got me for Christmas last year, the third egg (large demo from Salado) took a little more persuading; maybe a good deal on a minimax

She's pretty spoiled so she doesn't appreciate as much as most wood. Heck, she's just glad she doesn't have to cook. Well actually, since we're temporarily split because of our impending move, she's getting ticked off when I send her pics of food porn. So maybe now she does. Lol

  • So these smaller Eggs (I have a large), do they get to temp quicker than the larger ones?  I can probably convince SWMBO to get a second smaller one for burgers and steakd and such...

@SeahawksEGGHead - the mini gets there very quickly. My medium gets their faster than my larges and the small gets there somewhere in-between (I think due to the smaller lower vent). I usually use the paraffin starter cubes cut in half to light the eggs. Not sure if this helps.
