Hamburger steak (seasoned with Elftster rubs) and onions.

Don't have a plated shot.  I just didn't find the plate appealing.

Steaks using ground chuck.  Seasoned two with BGE Dizzy Pig Cosmic Cow and the others with hamburger seasoning.  Thanks @stemc33!

Cooked different this time actually.  Picture only shows at the end.

Started steaks on second tier first until almost done (around 145°).

Removed steaks and removed the second tier.

Pre-heated skillet before removing the above.

Finished with butter on each side to get a nice sear on top and bottom.

They were pretty dang good!

This is what I like to see. Huge pieces of meat sizzling away. No greenery, no heathy crap to distract a man from the meat!! Enjoy brother tar!! And by all means, no leftovers please ;)

I'm going to use my better judgement and presume that you ate all 3. With that said:

Looks excellent and sounds delicious. I've never tried the cosmic cow. @tarheelmatt‌, I'm not gonna lie, I almost kept the cosmic cow. I had it in and out of the box a few times. I'm glad I sent it and happy to see your enjoying it.

Thanks guys. @stemc33, I think I liked the hamburger seasoning better, but only slightly.
I cracked open some of that mustard yesterday for some Amish trail bologna. Stuff was awesome. Would make a dog turd taste good.

@SGH‌, Since just before my daughter was born I put lifting on hold, and now do not have a desire to get back to the gym. I just want to come home and spend time with my wife and little girl. I miss it occasionally as I was hitting great strides and also helped from a long day at the office.

I ask because I lifted for almost 30 years and now find myself missing it at times. Been trying to ease back into it a little. What was your best hot deadlift if I may ask?

@sgh, I was never a fan of deadlifts but I did them to get legs done. I was always afraid of my back If something was to go wrong.

I hit 405 for 5 reps for three sets. I never tried to max out really. That was my best 5x5. Obviously I didn't make the next two at 405. Lol

@SGH‌, now on leg press, I have done 945lbs or 21 45 lb plates (not including the sled), so probably around 1000 lbs on that.. I could stroke that five times.

@SGH‌ deadlift isn't to impressive if you ask me. Especially when guys a lot smaller were doing way more.

The beauty of the dead lift to me was you would see guys who trained religiously for the bench press and could press a lot but couldn't dead lift hardly anything. Also it gave smaller men a chance to show off a little. Go into any gym and you will find a gym rat who can bench press over 400 pounds. But that same gym rat can't deadlift it. At my very best physical condition I was 245 pounds of solid muscle. More often than not I could out deadlift the 300 plus pound guys. And hold my own with all except the true power lifters. After 12 years of training and heavy steroid use I could make a cold clean pull with a little over 600 pounds. I could make a hot clean pull with close to 700. My all time best was 685 pounds hot at a body weight of 238 pounds. No world record but not bad for a small man. I asked about your deadlift because you use to play ball and looking at your pic you look like a large man. My guess was that at one time you could probably approach or exceed 800 pounds for a single clean pull. Was I close in my guess brother tar?

@SGH, that is a hell of lift there for that size of a guy for sure even running quality stuff like you indicated.  I never dabbled in running anything.  Just standard run of the mill stuff, whey, creatine, amino acids, and pre-work outs.  I was tempted many times to really get me over plateau, but just never made the jump.  Plus it is very expensive.

I am a fairly large man I would consider my self.  I am 6'2" and 300lbs currently.  When I lifted regularly (over 6 yrs), I did get down to 270lbs.  I was not cut by no means and no six pack, but feel I was very strong.

To be honest, I don't know what I could max pull on hot set, I don't know if 800lb would be feasible, but I think I could get into the 500's easily.

I know those exact people who only want to bench.  They were cut up something bad, but their legs were like toothpicks.  Never saw them doing legs.  I wasn't the best at benching to be honest but got better over time. At my peak I was able to bench 5 x 5's lifting 335lbs each time.  My goal was to get to the 405lb club, but never made it....

Benching I never got beyond 385 for 3 clean reps. Was my weakest lift. My best lifts were deadlift 685 pounds hot, squat 525 for 1 hot rep and I could do a true bent over row with 285 pounds for one clean pull to the chest. At a body weight of 238 pounds. Sure do miss those days brother tar. I paid a heavy price for it my friend. I'm paralyzed to degree in both hands to this day. Would I do it over again if I could turn back time? Absolutely brother tar. I would just do a lot more of it ;)
