Drunken turn stumble = broken leg

3 years into egging I finally broke a leg on my plate setter. Turned and bounced it off the eggmate. The Gaber was ready to buy a new one but no sez I. Hats off to this forum for knowledge sharing, I knew what to do. Off to the Crappy Tire I go for the JB Weld. Mixed adhesive and clamped, 24hrs later good to walk again. Thanks for this forum and all who contribute.

I use JB Weld quite a bit... I would be concerned about using it where high temps AND food are concerned. Any worries here?

Might just be the lighting in the first photo but it looks like it was cracked before this break.

If you had to have a break I think you broke this one in a good spot for the repair to hold. Good luck.

Mine has been broken in the same spot for months. I use it as is, legs up, set the broken piece on the plate setter, grid holds it in place

Nice repair - you should get a few years from it. I'm told that pizza cooks may not be the best thing for the weld.

Assume it was cold when you broke its leg.....
