Can't hardly believe with as hyped up as you make yourself out to be that you'd ever need suggestions. Welcome to the SGH show everyone.

If you really feel that I'm all "hype" come on down the 20th and put your brisket up against mine. We can even put a friendly wager on who cooks the best brisket if you like. I'm quite confident in my "hyped" ability to cook.

You do realize that you don't have to read them if you don't like them. But the fact remains I can cook and cook well. I'm willing to put my money where my mouth is on the 20th. There is nothing "hyped" about my food. Nothing.

SGH - thank you sir for bringing the wild west explorer spirit to this whole affair.  I like it when people bring the cooks to extremes.  That helps everyone learn what to expect when they push a cook fast or slow it down.

Not sure who you're referring to, but I'll assume it's me.  I very much understand that.  Post all you want, or don't.  I could care less either way.  If the thread seems interesting, i'll read it.  I pretty much will open any thread about brisket.  lol

I'm sure someone will be your Huckleberry, but it won't be me.  Have fun in Nola!

And just for clarification I know that there are people who can out cook me. I just don't think Hibby is one of them. It was he who started on me. Not the other way around.

I'm all for it. All he has to do is show up. I will be there Friday night through Sunday cooking. I welcome folks to come and try my "hyped" food. I'm cooking clod, and shrimp as well as a few briskets.

Someone told me Conway will be there.  I can't attest to the accuracy of that intelligence nor reveal my source, but I'd wager there's better than even odds.

SGH, I have no interest in trying to compete with you on a brisket. In fact, I have NEVER cooked a brisket. I've been slowly simmering over your narcissistic posts ever since you 'disappeared' and then had to come clean (code word for begin telling the truth) about who you are/were. I gave up on giving you a chance at that point. Certainly you have many little 'followers' that help feed an ego that would seem to have as large an appetite as you purport to have. I'll get plenty of hate mail from them I'm sure. You've been responsible for me coming to view this forum's posts less frequently. I suspect I'm not alone but I'm only speaking for myself. Between your 'my wallet's a little light so I only could afford this $200 gluttonous meal that I took 40 pictures of' and your 'in order to be the man, you first have to beat the man' signature, I'm flirting with a nausea that is par excellent my friend. My way of coping with your presence will be to no longer click on any of your posts. I'm hoping that if I post a question looking for help on a cook that you'll do the same. Good day sir.

Why all the hate lately??? If you don't like something don't read it. If you like something but don't want to post don't. Differing views are fine. It doesn't mean that the other person is wrong. (Thermapen vs thermapop vs finger, weed burner vs electric starter vs charcoal starter vs oil soaked paper towel... There are a lot of people on here that are newbies (myself included) that are trying to learn anywhere we can. There are veterans out there looking for newer ideas. When a thread drifts off like this it is way more annoying than ANYONE talking about their cooks. Now back to the original point. Can anyone help out SGH? I've never cooked a brisket on the Egg but would be interested to see if this new way works. Sorry for the rant.
