It seemed like a perfect day for a steak.
Got a good fire going.
Popped then on direct.
Cooked 3 minutes per side at 625.
Ready to take up and rest.
Simple plate - steak fries and garlic toast.
Nailed it.
Last bite was as good as the first!

Awesome looking grub! The pics are excellent as well. Meat and potatoes. It doesn't get much better than that. Outstanding job sir!

Thanks for the kind words everyone. And yes @SGH - I could eat a steak pretty much every day

They look fantastic and you're right, there isn't a wrong day for a good steak. Next time; get that silly grate out of the way and do em caveman style right on the coals. You're in for a real treat doing them that wayMSV Chill Spot

I tried it once hap - but I over cooked them. They were still good and I am definitely gonna give it another try. However, I wanted medium rare pretty badly this time and wasn't willing to over do it again. What is your method for caveman rib eyes?
