This probably won't be helpful at all, but I have an iGrill and I love it. If I were you I might just ship it from amazon. I like the dual probe functionality and the accessories you can buy for it.1 large BGE, Spartanburg SC

Might take four or five days, but a 733 from @stlcharcoal will put a smile on your face...g37 said:Message stlcharcoal. They have the 733 in stock.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad! -
I have an older Mav. ET73 maybe? Used it once in the past 3-4 years. Just don't find it all that useful.
I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Ya know, I think it depends on your style of cooking. For a roast or yardbird, indirect set up, I find the wireless Maverick to be very useful. I set the alarms for the pit and basically forget about it.Carolina Q said:I have an older Mav. ET73 maybe? Used it once in the past 3-4 years. I do have a digi q. Don't use that all that often either. But more than the Mav. I just find it easy to set the egg at 350-400 (most of my cooks) and have it stay there for the short time I need it. Spatched chicken for instance. Raised direct, 400, 45 minutes or so. No crutch required. When I light the lump, I just set the vents where I know 400 will be and whenever I come back, that's where it is. Or close anyway.I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

I understand the 733 is better, but if he wanted one today as he said, that was an option. I have been using a 732 for over a year now with no issues.XLBGE, Small BGE, Homebrew and GuitarsRochester, NY

Thanks, guys! I ended up doing the cook thermo "naked". Only able to probe with an old dial thermo that's older than me (almost 40!). Turns out I didn't fret about a stall one bit! I used my temps and time to guesstimate where the butt would be and I was pretty close!
There will be a Mav in my future, as well as some sort of fan controller.LBGE since 2014

Love the iGrill. The current version supports 4 probes. Bluetooth II works great...no issues with dropping connection or establishing them when turning on the device, and the battery life is excellent. My only gripe is that the app doesn't go into landscape mode.Grillin_beers said:This probably won't be helpful at all, but I have an iGrill and I love it. I've had the original iGrill since it first came out years ago. Only wireless or wired remote thermometer I've ever had where the probes haven't failed within a year or so. I have vowed never to buy another cheap off-shore import from an (unnamed) large Asian country.

Problem with the igrill2 that supports multiple probes..... No one has it in stock! Zilch at amazon as well!
