I HATE this site....

Just got my first egg this weekend after leaving hints for my lovely wife for about 2 years about what an eggcellent gift one would make.  I am loving the egg.  Won't let my wife cook anymore.  How the **** am I supposed to get any work done when all I want to do is surf this site for more gear and better recipes?  You guys are seriously impacting my work productivity!!

Yeah, I'm already screwed.  Already added in the first week (based on recommendations here):

    Thermapen
    Oval rig
    pizza stone
    Maverick

and started designing the table with my mechanical engineering son.  At this rate I'm going to need a second job to support my egg.

And just WOW badinfluence....you've got more eggs than my dealer!

That's a good start. Take some time and play with the egg. You can buy, buy, buy, but give it some time and see what you actually need. You will end up with a shelf full of accessories that's you'll use once and probably never again because it was a must need at the moment. Just a warning! All good purchases with the list that you have come up with. Welcome to the forum!

@Buzzz-welcome aboard and enjoy the journey.  Good words above about taking your time with learning the BGE and your cooking wants/needs before  taking out a second mortgage for all the after-market toys.

Welcome, besides occupying all your time browsing for tips, comments and cooks, you will also find the grocery bill increasing. Once the freezer is full of Food Saver bags with brisket, pulled pork and chicken and the garage full of good deal lump you will realize just how expensive this obsession is.

I'm so glad you guys with multiple eggs are out there. My wife was thinking I had a problem, not that I don't have a problem, but at least I'm not alone.
