OT - What scotch are you drinking?

I typically drink bourbon, but after having read several reviews of Lagavulin 16 (and being a sucker for Islays), I picked up a bottle. WOW! I'm blown away by it! So peaty and smoky. Goes perfectly with BBQ. Anyway, how about you? What are you all drinking?

Famous Grouse, although I like my Jamesons better.
XXL #82 out of the first 100, XLGE X 2, LBGE (gave this one to daughter 1.0) , MBGE (now in the hands of iloveagoodyoke daughter 2.0) and lots of toys -
I do enjoy the smokiness of Lagavulin, but this is my "go to" scotch, and yeah, 16, 18, 21, all depends on my mood and cash in hand, but 12 suffices for my after work unwind lol

Get some single malt homie!Doc_Eggerton said:Famous Grouse, although I like my Jamesons better. -
Nice. I've been meaning to pick up a bottle of the 18 for a while. Next up I'm going to try Ardbeg Uigeadail. Maybe I'll do the 18 after that.GalanteNate_OneEa said:I do enjoy the smokiness of Lagavulin, but this is my "go to" scotch, and yeah, 16, 18, 21, all depends on my mood and cash in hand, but 12 suffices for my after work unwind lolSouthern California -

There's a little squirt of musty Misty in every bottle. Plus, it was only $9 at the truck stop.

Love Laphroaig. The sadly discontinued 15 was the scotch that hooked me. Never tried the quarter cask but hear great things.Wakefan said:Laphraig quarter cask. Although with steak, I like Talisker

my all-time fav is Lagavulin Distiller's Edition. Lagavulin 16 is my regular scotch of choice. Others include Oban 18, and the Oban DE. Big fan of the Balvenie too - I have a bottle of 14yo Caribbean Cask waiting expectantly for me.
the Ardberg Uigeadail is seriously peaty, if you like that sort of thing.bicktrav said:

Yep. If you took a forest, burned it to the soil, then ate whatever charred dirt remained, you'd have the flavor of Islay... And man do I love it!henapple said:Glenfiddich 18.....islay taste like mulch.

Edited: Ooops clearly didn't read the thread title. Thought this was the usual "what are you drinking now thread". My bad. No Scotch for me tonight. Just a few ice cold Traditional Yuengling Lagers. None. Not now, not ever (again). I hate Scotch. Though I have to say, Misty is absolutely lovely!
I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!
