A blob of wasabi is normally presented to the customer to mix with the soy for sashimi (raw fish without the rice) rather than sushi.  If the itamae (sushi chef) meant for wasabi to go with your sushi, he (never she) puts the dab between the rice and the fish.  But, I agree, you're paying for it, eat what you want.  I've learned that just a tiny dab of soy, and no extra wasabi, really lets the fish flavor shine through; yum!

NEVER EVER EVER EVER use Ketchup on a hotdog OR corndog.  The build is crucial:

    bun
    dog
    MUSTARD
    onions

the above are a MUST, the list below are the "options" and not in any particular order.
    Fresh chopped tomatoes
    OR
Relish (must be a really good green-tomato or zucchini relish)
    OR
    Chili + shredded CHEDDAR
    OR
Chili + creamy coleslaw (similar to KFC or Chick-fil-a)
    OR
    Chili
    OR
    creamy coleslaw

the Japanese don't dunk the whole piece of sushi in the soy/wasabi mix. In deference to the chef's skills they just tip the tiniest corner into the mix, just to get the taste buds going for the rest.

Yes and they dip the fish not the rice- it is also very acceptable to eat sushi with your hands in Japan.

I don't think @Botch was quite expecting all this. I just thought we were looking at a phallic symbol.

I've even poured cheese whiz on my dog before. Hell years ago when I was hitting Tijuana and drinking alot there was a guy who would sell dogs wrapped in bacon and served with mayonnaise. It was awesome.

Mustard, ketchup, relish, onions and the secret ingredient - Cheeze Wiz!  Never eat the stuff otherwise except on hot dogs and sausage dogs.   I guess it's the poor man's Philly  Beef Swiss.
