Today is National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day

Not sure where these "National Days" come from or who makes them up, but since I like cookies off the Egg, I wasn't going to ignore this one!

Lets see some home made cookie shots!

Here is our melt in your mouth chocolate chip cookies, cooked to our liking on the Egg, nice and soft with outstanding flavour and oh so moist!

    Great looking cookies!

There does see to be a day for just about everything, some days even have two or three "National" recognitions associated with them. National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day is in my opinion a day not to be missed.

We try ones from a can, Pillsbury and others, we also experiment with family and online recipes as well. Always tweaking and trying something different. In the end, it's all delicious right? Dough and chocolate plus Egg quality cooking!

    Ok, here we go

    Ingredients,

    2 1/4 cups of flour
    1 tsp of baking soda
    1 tsp salt
    1 cup butter (room temp)
    3/4 cup of white sugar
    3/4 cup brown sugar
    1 tsp vanilla
    2 eggs
12 oz chocolate chips or chunks
    1 cup of nuts (optional)

    Preheat Egg to 375*,

Sift flour, baking soda, salt in a bowl.  In a separate bowl add creamed butter and sugars.  The add vanilla, add eggs one at a time mixing well.  Add chocolate chips to the dry ingredients, toss to coat.  Start to add a little dry mixed ingredients into the egg mixture, just a little at a time.  Bake on ungreased sheet for 8 - 10 minutes or until desired finish.  Remember, they tend to cook a little after removed from heat, so remove on time and place on a cooling grid.

Then sneak a hot gooey one like I do and almost burn yourself, so worth it!

    Enjoy!
