Any ideas or recipes for a sauce that would go good with shredded beef from the Egg?
Also, has anyone made these and put coleslaw on them like pulled pork? How does it taste?
Thanks in advance!

Don't know if you can get HP sauce where you are but it's perfect on beef.

What is HP sauce?
-
It's a British brown sauce. The most popular thick sauce in the world. Sporadically available in the US. Now owned by Heinz.

Tiger sauce works well on Baltimore Pit Beef. Equal parts mayo and horseradish, squeeze of lemon, touch of garlic, S/P to taste.__________________________________________It's not a science, it's an art. And it's flawed.- Camp Hill, PA

Not a sauce but try with pepperoncini peppers and maybe a slice of provolone.

As far as the coleslaw i cant say because i hate the stuff. But here is a awesome finish sauce for bbq beef sandwiches that i got from Old Dave. When cooking the chuck use a drip pan to catch the drippings. Separate the fat from the juice. Mix equal parts meat juice, blues hog sauce and water..Wish i could take credit for that one because it is outstanding and simple. Give it a try some time. I think you will be impressed.

As you can see, the traditional English horse radish, mixed with the traditional US mayo, makes the base for a great beef sandwich spread. Many stores in Canada carry a horse radish mayo, very popular. There is also a wasabi horseradish mix that livens up a beef sammi. On pulled pork we use the vinegar based slaws, for beef the creamy sweet mayo based slaws works very well. On the west cost we have a chain called White Spot - this slaw is the closest I've seen to theirs and it is a favourite on pulled beef.
Mix the following into large bowl:
4-5 cups shredded cabbage
1 large carrot, shredded and squeeze out the juice
2 large green onions chopped fine
1 tsp celery seed
Mix the following dressing with whisk or immersion blender:
1/2 cup mayo
3 Tbs light cream
3 Tbs buttermilk (2% milk works OK)
1 Tbs white vinegar
1 Tbs lemon juice
3 1/2 Tbs white sugar
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp fine ground black pepper
Pour dressing over bowled veggies and mix. Chill overnight and stir before serving.

Thanks for the replies!I'm gonna whip up some horseradish/mayo based spread. I'll get some slaw too just to see what it's like.

MMMMMmmm YUMMM beef or pulled pork with a mayo-based creamy, sweet southern coleslaw...those yo-yo's that put oil/vinegar coleslaw sauce are just plain wrong. That is NOT coleslaw.
