Was looking for the shot of you in the tea cups? Man you are going to be so screwed in about 5 years. I am thinking you need to get about a 100 lbs on that girl before she starts dating my friend :-tSalado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers.

Looks awesome. I am wanting to take my kid but he just turned 4. Deciding whether to wait until 5 (earliest would take him) or even a bit older. How old is your daughter? I want to have balance where he will love and have fun (not too old) and maybe even remember some of it (not to young)You guys stayed at one of the disney resorts? how would that compare to staying at an off-site hotel?Boom
-
@FanofFanboys
Elise is 9 and we thought about the same things you are mulling over. I think 5 may be a little young. YMMV
We stayed at the All American Music Resort in the park. I'm sure the price was a little better for our package. Not fancy, but very clean and super service. If you want, PM me and I'll give you the info for the woman who set our whole trip up, she did a great job and we will be recommending her to friends as well as using her again.MSV Chill Spot

I highly recommend staying on Disney grounds for a Disney vacation. If doing a Univeral vacation stay at their hotels. We did the I-drive hotels and I'm not a big fan of them. ;;)Every day is a bonus day and every meal is a banquet in Winter Springs, Fl !

I agree with staying on the Disney grounds. More expensive but worth it to me to not have to travel each day to get to where you want to go. Also, the more you can afford as far as the Disney resorts go, the less people there will be at that resort. It was nice not having to fight the crowds at the resort after fighting them all day at the parks.XL BGE

Here is the next round of images from the trip...
Thanks for looking
Quick grab at dinner...
Real ones for us, they made Elise a virgin mojito
While waiting for the shuttle over to Universal; Elise wanted me to take a picture of her on the red carpet. The valets and other people got a kick out of her walking the red carpet
On a water taxi in Downtown Disney
At Universal
The first view Elise had of Hogwarts

Great pics and I'm surprised you actually did get to see any blue skies. The weather's been pretty miserable lately, and we always think of people here on vaca during those times.

Here are some more... Round 3
I apologize if there are too many. Figured I would share them in one thread instead of multiple ones. I know there are quite a few photography buffs and those interested in photography on here. At least you can see what the RX100 is capable of and it's ease of use vs bringing a bunch of gear. It allowed me to capture memories as well as enjoy being in the moment to without getting in the way...
Anyway here are some more from our day at Universal
Tough to see in the window; a polarizing filter would have corrected that, is a plant called a mandrake from the Harry Potter story. We used to tease Elise when she would have her hair in a ponytail on the top of her head that she looked like one
And this one was my wife's idea...

I was really leary of going and being trapped without a vehicle. I caved and stayed on grounds and did the meal plan and it's the way to go. We have since been back and enjoyed it even more. My youngest is only 17 months but can't wait to take her. Thanks for sharing...brought back some great memories. Looks like you guys had a blast.Albion, PA

@HorseMover
Really liked not having to worry about parking, or having glass of wine with dinner, beers and brats in Germany (Epcot)
The meal plan was great and we had a fantastic time. Already talking about the next trip
