Pardon my OT. Oft times I sit on the porch playing my baritone while minding a cook. Now I have a tenor for variety. Got my new Tedrow Standard Concertina
today, to compliment my Tedrow Baritone. The Standard is on the left
and has dark bellows.

I have this vision of Doc in front of a mountain of orange bags "going in and out and in and out" . Damn you henapple, I'll be humming that song thru my whole cook tonight, one of my favourite Who songs...... much like Bubba O'Reily, it just sticks....henapple said:Talented... For a minute there, I thought you were talking about something else. Nothing like triple strand concertina to keep charlie out of the wire! From the NE Georgia Mountains! Me, SWMBO, and two spoiled ass Springers!

Very nice. I always wanted to learn how to play one, they are much lighter to haul around than the dulcimer.
What new tune are you going play on that one.Large, small and mini now Egging in Rowlett Tx -

My baritone cost $3,500, the tenor cost $2,000. The tenor was ordered by an 80 year old woman who wanted to learn to play, and then did not do anything with it. It was exactly like new. You can easily pay $5K or more for a good concertina. There are many cheap makers, and a handful of quality ones. When you start out get a Rochell, ugly, not very good action, sounds pretty decent. That is the starter instrument.Black_Badger said:Yep, that's pretty cool. What does one of those run? How do you ID a good one?
